Pro-coup Sheikh calls for crucifying, cutting off hands of Muslim Brotherhood affiliates

The pro-coup Al-Azhar Sheikh Mazhar Shaheen demanded the application of Sharia against the Muslim Brotherhood by "cutting off their hands, crucifying them, and sending them to exile."

In an interview with the military-controlled Tahrir channel, Shaheen called for including the punishments of "crucifying and cutting off hands and legs" among criminal punishments in the "Anti-terrorism law."

Shaheen also called for banning students affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood from continuing college, because of their role in instigating protests.
