Cameron's religious adviser is grandson of Muslim Brotherhood founder

The UK’s Daily Mail newspaper revealed that one of PM David Cameron’s religious affairs advisors is the grandson of the founder of the Muslim Brotherhood, to which Cameron ordered an investigation last week.

According to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, the investigation “will assess the MB’s impact on and influence over UK national interests, at home and abroad; its wider influence on UK society, culture and educational institutions; and key allies’ approaches and policies”

The Daily Mail said that “the investigation is likely to lead to red faces in Whitehall, as a scion of the Muslim Brotherhood’s founding family is a senior ministerial adviser.”
