Gaza government: The occupation is trying to 'stir things up'

April 12, 2014 at 2:47 pm

The government in Gaza has accused the Israeli occupation of trying to “stir things up” in order to get itself out of the political crisis it is currently experiencing, stressing that the Palestinian people have many means enabling them to restrain the Israeli aggression.

Commenting on the series of intensive raids carried out by Israeli aircrafts last night hitting several targets, the media advisor to the government in Gaza, Taher Al-Nounou, said in a statement to the Safa news agency: “The occupation resorted to escalating matters in Gaza in order to export the crisis and create a confrontation.”

Al-Nounou warned the occupation against “messing about”, calling on all concerned parties to shoulder their responsibilities to stop this “reckless act” committed by the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

He also stressed that the Palestinian people “will not pay the price of Netanyahu’s deficiencies and failures and they have many means of restraining Netanyahu’s senseless acts.”
