This is what Malaysian Prime Minister Dato' Sri Haji Mohammad Najib told the prime minister of the Palestinian government in Gaza, Ismail Haniyeh, via telephone on Tuesday.
According to a Palestinian statement, Haniyeh expressed his deep sadness for the unfortunate incident of the missing plane and its passengers, affirming his solidarity with their families and loved ones.
A Malaysian plane disappeared from radar a few days ago in the skies of Vietnam when it was carrying more than 300 people on a flight from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing. The fate of both the plane and its passengers is not yet known.
The Palestinian prime minister also told Najib that he values the Malaysian efforts in support of Gaza and the projects it implements there.
On his part, the Malaysian prime minister expressed his gratitude for these noble sentiments, stressing that his country continues to support Palestine, Jerusalem and Gaza.
Najib also praised the warm reception that he found from the people of Gaza during his recent visit there.
