On Friday, after two months of discussions with the political parties in his country, Yemeni President Abed-Rabbu Hadi Mansour made a limited reshuffle in his government, Yemeni TV have said.

He sacked interior minister Brigadier Abdul-Kader Kahtan from Al-Islah Party, the Muslim Brotherhood, and appointed Abdu At-Tirb from the party.

In a similar move, Hadi sacked oil and minerals minister Ahmed Dares from the former ruling party, the Public Popular Conference, and appointed Khalid Bahah from the same party. Dares filed his resignation last month after corruption allegations were made against him in relation to the selling of gas.

Hadi also replaced the chief of the Central Apparatus of Political Security Brigadier, Ghalib al-Komsh, with Jalal al-Rowishan after 36 years in the position.

Both the former interior minister and Al-Komsh were appointed ambassadors in the Yemeni foreign ministry.

A mass government reshuffle was expected after two months of detailed discussions took place between the President and Yemeni political parties.
