Israel revokes VIP passes of four Fatah officials

May 4, 2014 at 12:32 pm

Israel withdrew the VIP passes of four senior Fatah officials and threatened to do the same to the cards of others, in retaliation for the Palestinian Authority’s failure to continue peace negotiations.

Palestinian sources told the London-based Raialyaoum that Nabil Shaath, Tawfik Tirawi, Abbas Zaki and General Jibril Rajoub, all members of Fatah’s Central Committee, had their passes revoked.

They now travel to Jordan in buses with other Palestinian citizens when they cross the bridge and stand for hours at Israeli checkpoints.
