Egyptian journalist and commentator Nadia Abou El-Magd said in an interview with Al Jazeera Monday that the televised interview of presidential candidate, Abdul Fattah Al-Sisi, was empty and emotional.
Rather than presenting a well-defined electoral program, Abou El-Magd said, Al-Sisi’s statements were “vague” and “did not properly address the core economic issues that matter to the majority of Egyptians.”
Abou El-Magd added that “Al-Sisi’s overemphasis on the need to change religious discourse in most of his speeches is unacceptable”.
“Before calling for a change in religious discourse, let him first show us what political program he has,” Abou El-Magd said.
