Sudanese marine forces deployed in Halayib return home

The 101st Port Sudan Marine Division celebrated the return of troops stationed in Halayib after the forces finished their assignment there, Sudanese news agency SUNA reported yesterday.

SUNA reported Red Sea governor Mohammed Tahir Eila as saying: “The presence of Sudanese armed forces in Halayib is an expression of Sudan’s sovereignty over its territory.”

The commander of the 101st Port Sudan Marine Division, General Bilal Abdul Majid, praised the armed forces’ role in protecting the land and willingness to sacrifice their lives for the Sudanese people.
