The Alexandria Criminal Court sentenced 79 opponents of the military coup and supporters of Mohamed Morsi to 5-10 years in prison on charges of taking part in violence which took place in the coastal city last summer.
The court sentenced 11 defendants to 10 years, 13 defendants to 7 years, and 55 others to 5 years. It also acquitted 7 defendants.
