Hamdallah heads the 15 ministers national unity government

Palestinian Prime Minister in Ramallah Rami Hamdallah is to head the upcoming Palestinian national unity government which was agreed among the Palestinian factions, an informed source told Al-Rai news agency said on Wednesday.

The source said that Hamas and Fatah had agreed that Hamdallah is to head the national unity government. He noted that the government would consist of 15 ministers.

Information about the names and the place of residence of the ministers was not revealed.

Meanwhile, the source affirmed Fatah representative in the reconciliation talks Azzam al-Ahmad is expected to arrive in Gaza on Saturday to finalise discussions about the government.

Hamas and Fatah representatives singed a reconciliation agreement on April 23 and said they would announce a national unity government within five weeks.
