Russia and Saudi Arabia discuss ways to resolve the Syrian crisis

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov discussed with his Saudi counterpart Prince Saud Al-Faisal, during a telephone call today, ways to resolve the Syrian crisis and other regional issues.

The Russian Foreign Ministry pointed out in a statement that during the call, the ministers discussed several pressing issues in the region and on an international level and especially ways to find a political settlement to the Syrian crisis.

On bilateral relations, the Russian foreign ministry said the two sides confirmed their readiness to revive their cooperation in the fields of trade, the economy and energy.
