July 9, 2014 at 2:34 pm

Head of Committee of 50, which laid down the coup Constitution, Amr Mousa has announced he will launch a new political alliance, Egyptian media reported.

Mousa said the new alliance would include a number of Egyptian political parties, including Al-Wafd.

He said that the bases of this alliance were already laid down and they are dedicated to maintaining a civil national democratic state.

The alliance would be based on the framework of the Constitution, the roadmap announced by the coup leader and the principles of January 25 and June 30.

In addition, he said that the new alliance would not include anyone whose name is linked to corruption or the previous regime.

Mousa did not mention the name of the new party and denied reports that he was commissioned by the coup leader Abdel Fatah Al-Sisi to form this alliance.
