Hamas to continue fighting as long as Israeli war continues

July 9, 2014 at 11:53 am

The Palestinian Islamic movement Hamas affirmed on Tuesday evening that it would continue fighting the Israeli occupation as long as its massive war against Palestinians continues.

“In the light of the continuous Israeli aggression – the crimes and violation committed against the Palestinian people – Hamas and the other Palestinian resistance groups will continue defending the people and our dignity,” Hamas spokesperson Fawzi Barhoum said in a press release.

“We are capable and willing to face the Israeli aggression against our people, whatever the cost is,” Barhoum added.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has threatened that Hamas will “pay a high price” for firing rockets at Israeli settlements and cities.

The Hamas official called upon all Palestinians to be involved in resisting the Israeli occupation, as well as called upon Arabs and Muslims to besiege Israeli embassies wherever they are and to expel their Israeli ambassadors.

Israeli occupation forces have been carrying out an aggressive assault against Palestinians living in the Gaza Strip since Tuesday morning. More than 30 Palestinians have been killed and more than 260 wounded so far. At least 50 Palestinian homes have been destroyed.
