The UAE has announced the allocation of $25 million as “urgent humanitarian aid to support the steadfastness of the Palestinian people”.

The news agency said that UAE President Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan said the aid is “to support the steadfastness of the Palestinian people who are facing the brutal Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, which has been taking place for a few days now.”

The UAE Red Crescent will oversee the aid, as the authority has also been “assigned to establish and prepare a complete field hospital in the sector to aid the victims of the Israeli aggression, which has resulted in a large numbers of martyrs, and left hundreds of innocent people wounded.”

The agency said: “This action is a confirmation of the continued, historic solidarity of the UAE’s leadership, government and people with the Palestinian people, and the UAE’s commitment to standing by the Palestinian people.”
