Egyptians staged nationwide protests on Friday in solidarity with Gaza against the current Israeli military offensive that claimed the lives of over 100 Palestinians.

In the western Cairo neighborhood of October 6, protesters condemned the Israeli assault and the “weak” stance of the Egyptian government. They chanted “Gaza is the symbol of dignity.”

Protesters also chanted against the recent price hikes in fuel and basic commodities.

In the Talkha neighborhood in Dakahliya governorate, a pro-Morsi group called “Free Revolution” staged a march condemning the Israeli airstrikes, accusing the Egyptian government of “complicity.”

In the Nile Delta governorate of Damietta, anti-coup protesters called for Egyptian intervention to stop the Israeli aggression.

Similarly, in Beheira, Gharbeya, Bani Sweif, and Suez governorates, a number of protests and “human chains” were held, demanding an end to the Israeli onslaught.
