The Palestinian Al-Quds Brigades has said that it directly targeted on Friday evening an Israeli tank in the city of Beit Hanoun in the north of the Gaza Strip a statement said.

Al-Quds Brigades is the military wing of the Islamic Jihad, which is involved along with Hamas in fighting Israel in the war on Gaza. It said that it detonated a landmine under the tanks and killed and wounded a number of Israeli soldiers, as well as seizing the tank’s automatic gun.

The Brigades claimed that its intelligence intercepted internal radio calls between Israeli soldiers and they became sure that the explosion killed and wounded a number of soldiers.

In addition, the statement said that the fight would continue until the Israeli occupation respond to the demands of the resistance and stop savagely targeting unarmed Palestinian citizens in the Gaza Strip.

Meanwhile, the Qassam Brigades, Hamas’ military wing, announced it shot two Israeli soldiers to the north of Asqalan military base in the north of Beit Lahia, in the north-west of the Gaza Strip.

Al-Qassam spread a link showing one of the soldiers falling after the bullet hit him.

It also said it detonated several landmines during Israeli attempts to infiltrate the Gaza Strip in several places on the eastern border. It stressed that its strong confrontation with the Israeli soldiers has undermined the planned Israeli ground operation so far.
