Pakistan's parliament says Israeli aggression on Gaza amounts to 'genocide'

The Pakistani parliament issued a statement on Tuesday labeling Israel’s operation in Gaza as “a war crime and genocide.”

The prime minister’s national security adviser, Sertaj Aziz, had earlier proposed a bill in the parliament which would designate Israeli targeting of civilians in Gaza as “war crimes” and “terrorist acts.”

The resolution, unanimously approved in the parliament, condemned “the lack of proper reaction by the international community on the brutal Israeli offensive.” It also called on the United Nations to “immediately intervene to save the lives of innocent children in Gaza.”
