Tunisian president receives Hamas delegation

Tunisian president Moncef Al-Marzouqi received on Friday a Hamas delegation, headed by Hamas official Ismail Ridwan, in Tunis. Ridwan updated the Tunisian President on the latest developments on the siege on the Gaza Strip and the situation post war. He also updated him about the developments of the two-way indirect discussion between the Palestinians and the Israelis brokered by Egypt. The talks are taking place in order to reach a ceasefire between the two sides.

The Hamas official thanked Tunis for its support for the Palestinians during their crisis in the face of Israeli aggression. Meanwhile, Al-Marzouqi highlighted his country’s efforts being exerted in the medical and aid fields to help the Palestinians. He also discussed international efforts being exerted to lift the siege and stop the Israeli war on Gaza.
