The Qatari Emir Tamim Al-Thani, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas and Hamas Leader Khalid Mesh’al met on Friday in Doha to discuss Palestinian issues.

At the meeting the three leaders discussed the situation in the Gaza Strip, in particular the Israeli war. They stressed the importance of actions on all levels to end the war, lift the siege and fulfil all Palestinian demands.

They also urged the United Nations to draw up a “timetable” for the end of the “Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories” based on the 1967 borders and establish a Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.

Regarding the Palestinian unity government, the leaders stressed that it is the only representative for all the Palestinians.

Meanwhile, Sheikh Tamim said that his country would remain supportive of the Gaza Strip and the steadfastness of its people in the face of the occupation. He stressed that there would be no change in the stance of his country towards the Palestinian issue and its legitimate demands.
