Jordanian parliament calls for prosecuting Israeli war criminals

The Jordanian Parliament called on Friday for accelerating the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip and exerting efforts to lessen the suffering of besieged Palestinians.

In a statement the parliament condemned the “international silence towards daily Israeli crimes against the Palestinians,” and said Israeli war criminals have to be prosecuted.

The parliament called for completing legal measures in international courts and preparing proof that documents humanitarian violation, which can then be sent to international human rights organisations to disclose Israeli crimes before the international community.

Moreover, the parliament stressed the importance of sending food and medical aid to the Palestinian people in Gaza through the Jordanian Hashemite charity.

The parliament hailed the ceasefire deal, which stopped the war, considering it a new victory for the steadfast Palestinian people on the ground and, on a political level, the Palestinian negotiators.
