Egyptian President Abdel Fatah Al-Sisi said he expects Egypt’s population to grow by 40 million over the next 15 years.

During his speech at the 41st session of the Arab Labour Conference in Cairo yesterday, Al-Sisi said: “60 per cent of Egyptians are under the age of 40, and despite the challenge posed by this percentage it constitutes a real wealth for Egypt if they are trained and prepared to engage in the gigantic projects being launched in Egypt now.”

Ehab Badawy, spokesperson for the Office of the President, said the meeting addressed the Arab labour markets and the conditions of Arab workers, with an emphasis on the importance of job creation for the youth and achieving rapid growth in proportion with population growth.
