Halaykah: Assassination operation carried out in coordination with PA

A member of the Palestinian Legislative Council, Samira Halaykah, confirmed that the assassination of two members of Al-Qassam Brigades carried out by the Israeli army on Tuesday in the city of Hebron in the occupied West Bank was in coordination with the Palestinian Authority’s (PA) security forces, Al-Resalah news has revealed.

Halaykah said, in an exclusive interview with Al-Resalah, which will be published later in detail, that the occupation authorities committed another crime against the Palestinians with the security coordination of the PA’s agencies, which provided cover for the crimes.

She explained that the assassination operation, which took place on Tuesday against Amer Abu Aisha and Marwan Al-Qawasmi, two leaders of Hamas’s military wing Al-Qassam Brigades, was in areas under the PA’s control.

The MP suggested that and the silence of the PA and Fatah movement over the operation gives a clear indication of the role played by PA agencies to serve the occupation, paving the way for its operations against the leaders and resistance fighters in the occupied West Bank.

Halaykah raised the question: “Where were the PA’s agencies during the siege and the assassination of two Al-Qassam leaders?” She added that: “The occupation’s execution of this cowardly operation will not weaken the will of our people and their resistance, but rather increase our strength and our fight for Palestinian rights.”
