Diplomat: Syria hid 4 chemical weapons facilities

The Syrian regime hid four chemical weapons facilities from UN inspectors, a Western diplomat told CNN on Tuesday.

The diplomat, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said Sigrid Kaag, the UN special envoy overseeing the destruction of Syria’s chemical stockpiles, briefed the Security Council on this on Tuesday.

The source pointed out that three of these sites are research and development facilities, while the fourth is established for production. He did not provide any additional details.
