Erdogan discusses situation in Jerusalem with Moroccan king

During a telephone call on Monday, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan discussed the situation in occupied Jerusalem with Moroccan President Mohamed VI, Anadolu news agency reported.

Sources in the president’s office told Anadolu that Erdogan passed his and his people’s worries and concerns over the continued Israeli violations against the holy sites in Palestine.

Erdogan also expressed his thanks and appreciation of the King’s role in hosting the meeting of the contact team formed by the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation regarding Palestine and Jerusalem.

The two leaders stressed the importance of the Islamic states taking a united stance towards the Israeli violations against Al-Aqsa Mosque and to play an important role in confronting these violations and guaranteeing that they will not be repeated.

Meanwhile, Anadolu noted that the official Moroccan news agency reported on Monday that the King had received an invitation by the Turkish president to visit Turkey.
