Hamas: Israel failed to isolate us through incitement

Israel failed to isolate Hamas internationally and regionally using incitement against its leadership and the countries that host them, the group’s spokesperson said.

In an exclusive statement to Alresalah.net, Husam Badran said that Hamas and its leaders respect the laws of their host countries, pointing out that Israel has failed to drive a wedge between the movement and the countries that host them.

Israel continues to provoke Hamas leaders claiming they support operations against its targets in the occupied West Bank.

Badran said that his movement is committed to fighting the occupation in the occupied territories, and is keen on its relationship with the regional countries which serve the interests of the Palestinian people. He explained that Israel aims to cover up its failures by blaming Hamas.

He condemned the inflammatory statements made by Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas against Hamas saying: “We could understand the Israeli hostility against our people, but we cannot understand Abbas’ stance against the Palestinian people and the resistance.”

Badran stressed that Hamas is looking forward to finding common ground with Abbas as he is the head of the Fatah movement, but stressed that if he continues to stand against the Palestinian people he will be isolated.
