December 12, 2014 at 12:53 pm

Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad Al-Malki yesterday called on members of the diplomatic corps in Ramallah to urge their countries to take action in response to the killing of the Head of Anti-Wall and Settlement Commission in the Palestinian Territories Ziad Abu Ein.

During a meeting with diplomats in Ramallah, Al-Maliki said they should not only condemn and denounce the murder, but act to stop the ongoing Israeli violations against the Palestinian people.

He reiterated calls for the international community and international human rights organisations to conduct an international investigation into this heinous crime, stressing that the Palestinian leadership is determined to hold Israel accountable for its crimes against the Palestinian people.

During the meeting, Al-Maliki reviewed Abu Ein’s autopsy report which was carried out in participation with Jordanian and Israeli doctors. The report denied the Israeli allegations that Abu Ein died of a heart attack.

He noted that the Palestinian leadership is discussing all the measures and decisions to be taken to respond to the crime.
