The Baghdad Operations Command confirmed that a number of ISIS gunmen were killed in the Iraqi capital. It said that its forces destroyed two ISIS vehicles and killed two militants, including an Arab leader in the organisation,  and dismantled seven explosive devices.

A local source in Mosul told the news site that members of the organisation arrested 22 people from Hammam Al-Alil province and executed them at a public square in Mosul based on orders issued by the organisation’s Sharia Court. The most notable charge was impersonating Islamic State members, stealing and blackmailing.

Sheikh Abdullah Al-Jubouri said that ISIS militants executed an elderly man from his clan named Sheikh Khalaf Mamdouh Jubouri on charges of belonging to popular resistance militias in Mosul.

The terrorist group executed eight other Iraqis in Tikrit.

A source in the District’s Operation Command said the victims were charged with cooperating with the government, pointing out that the death penalty was carried out in a public square east of Tikrit.
