January 20, 2015 at 3:19 pm

The deputy head of Hezbollah’s Political Council in Lebanon, Mahmoud Qumati, has said that the movement would respond to the Israeli assassination of Hezbollah members that took place on Sunday.

Speaking to Al-Alam , Qumati  said that: “We will choose the appropriate time and place to respond. Hezbollah will not be broken by such an attack.”

Qumati spoke about Hezbollah’s political trajectory, recalling the assassination of Imad Mughniyeh by Israeli forces in 2008. Mughniyeh’s son was among the members assassinated on Sunday. “This is a proof that Hezbollah leaders sacrifice their sons,” he said.

Meanwhile, Hezbollah buried its members, who were killed in Al-Qunaytirah in the Syrian Golan Heights. The Israeli occupation announced a state of alarm on the border with Lebanon in anticipation of a possible response.
