Video evidence of why Al-Tuwaijri was kicked out of the Saudi royal palace

The Asrar Arabiya (Arab Secrets) website has unravelled two conundrums: the first is the reason why Khalid Al-Tuwaijri was expelled from the Saudi royal palace on the first day King Salman took power. This was the first decision taken by the new monarch upon accession to the thrown in the kingdom.

The second conundrum is the reason behind the sudden attack launched by Egyptian TV anchor Yousef Al-Hosseini on Salman when he was still the crown prince. This is despite the fact that Al-Hosseini is known to be a lackey of Egyptian President Abdel Fatah Al-Sisi who came to thanks to Saudi support.

Going through a recently leaked series of reports and video clips shed light on these issues. It is now evident that Al-Tuwaijri had been waging a campaign against Salman when he was crown prince. He secretly propagated the idea that it was necessary to have Salman step down. This was part of a well-studied plot hatched in the aftermath of the creation of the post of deputy crown prince.

The leaks appear to show that Al-Tuwaijri and Prince Mutaib Bin Abdullah worked with the assistance and support of Prince Bandar Bin Sultan to promote the exclusion of Salman so Miqrin becomes crown prince and Mutaib his deputy.

According to the information gathered by Asrar Arabiya, an attack was launched to this end by Egyptian TV anchor Yousef Al-Hosseini in his programme broadcast by ONTV immediately after King Abdullah fell ill. He also had a go at Salman’s son.

It is claimed that Mutaib and Al-Tuwaijri used the video to promote the idea of forming a health commission that would arrive at a decision to remove Salman from his position, paving the way for Miqrin to become crown prince. However, the late king never had a chance to act due to his illness. Time was not on Mutaib and Al-Tuwaijri’s side as they were unable to sufficiently promote the idea within royal family circles.

As to how instructions were passed to Al-Hosseini, this used to take place via two men one of them Egyptian and the other Saudi. The Saudi man was Dr Fahd Al-Askar, King Abdullah’s media advisor and Al-Tuwaijri’s assistant at the palace. The Egyptian man was Al-Sisi’s office manager Abbas Kamil whose link to Al-Askar was exposed by a leaked recording of a telephone call which was broadcast by Al-Sharq TV. This became a scandal when it comprised a request from Kamil to Al-Askar asking for Bassim Yousef’s programme on MBC Channel to be stopped.

It is this link that illustrates the story that outraged King Salman. The story is that Al-Tuwaijri was leading the campaign aimed at promoting the idea of using King Salman’s illness as a justification for removing him from his position so as to facilitate the ascendance of Mutaib to the thrown in the future.

The information gathered shows that Egyptian President Al-Sisi was personally involved in the plot to remove Salman from the position of crown prince. These revelations may explain reports that King Salman is angry with Al-Sisi.

It is for this reason that King Salman expelled Al-Tuwaijri on his first day as monarch and why a TV anchor loyal to Al-Sisi would use Egyptian TV to promote the idea that Salman was too ill to be king.
