Israel’s chief military prosecutor has ordered an investigation into an incident caught on video purportedly showing Israeli soldiers attacking a Palestinian teen with their dogs, Israeli media reported.

Military Advocate General Major General Danny Efroni has ordered the soldiers involved to be interrogated after the video went viral online, Channel 10 reported.

The clip showed what seemed to be Israeli soldier scaring a 16-year-old teen with his dog, the broadcaster said, noting that the incident took place in December.

Israeli daily Haaretz reported that former lawmaker Michael Ben Ari shared the video and tweeted: “The soldiers taught the little terrorist a lesson!”

He asked his followers to share the video so that “ever little terrorist who plans to harm our soldiers learns the price.”

According to the paper, the video showed the moment Hamzeh Abu Hashem, a 16-year-old Palestinian, was arrested during confrontations between Palestinian youths and Israeli troops near the illegal settlement of Karmei Tzur in southern West Bank.
