The Palestinian Centre for Human Perseverance (FATA), headed by Mohammed Dahlan’s wife Jalila, organised a group wedding for 200 couples on Saturday at the Shalehat Resort in Gaza City. The wedding was funded by the UAE.
Fatah Member of Parliament in the Palestinian Legislative Council Ashraf Jomaa stressed the importance of such weddings.
This is not the first time the UAE has funded a group wedding for Palestinians in coordination with the Fatah Central Committee.
The attendees expressed their gratitude to the UAE, as this group wedding alleviated the burdens and cost of marriage. Each couple was also given a gift of approximately $3,000 to help with the difficult conditions witnessed by the Gaza Strip.
