Hamas: Boycotts undermine the occupation

May 14, 2015 at 8:50 am

Hamas hailed the decisions of several academic institutions across the US and Europe to boycott Israel, saying this will isolate it and lead to it facing charges in court.

Speaking to Quds Press on Monday, senior Hamas leader Izzat Al-Reshiq said: “We welcome the measures taken by tens of student councils and the managements of universities across the US, to boycott the companies that support the continuation of the Israeli occupation.”

“We call for increasing the activities of the BDS movement in the US and Europe because this will isolate Israel and lead it to be taken to court over its crimes against the Palestinians.”

Last month, 16 foreign ministers from the EU member states sent a message to the EU high commissioner asking for the process of labeling Israeli products which are produced in illegal settlements to be accelerated.
