Sisi rejects Erodgan's conditions for reconciliation

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan gave three conditions to reconcile with Egyptian President Abdel Fatah Al-Sisi, however they were all rejected, Abdul Rahman Al-Qaradawi, the son of the head of the Global Union for Muslim Scholars, Yousef Al-Qaradawi, said.

Posting on his Facebook page, Abdul Rahman explained that the conditions were laid out during Erdogan’s visit to Saudi Arabia while Al-Sisi was there.

“Erdogan had three conditions to accept an overt reconciliation with Al-Sisi,” Abdul Rahman said. “The conditions were: releasing all political prisoners in Egypt, cancelling death sentences and allowing the free gathering of people and organisation to protest.”

He continued: “Of course, these conditions deconstruct the bases of the coup; therefore, it was clear that Al-Sisi was not able to accept them.”
