Jordan Valley homeowners receive demolition notices

May 29, 2015 at 2:44 pm

Palestinian homeowners in the Jordan Valley have been issued with demolition orders by the Israeli occupation authorities. Fourteen houses in the villages of Al-Fasayil and Al-Jiftlik are affected. The owners have been given just 3 days to leave their properties.

The governor of Jericho and the Jordan Valley, Majid Al-Fityani, said that the orders to evacuate the homes are part of the Israeli occupation’s policy of targeting Palestinians in the Jordan Valley to reduce or remove the population altogether.

“The Palestinian government will spare no effort in providing tangible and legal support,” he insisted, “as well as addressing human rights organisations to support the resolve of the citizens in the Jordan Valley and all other Palestinian land.”

Israel’s ethnic cleansing of historic Palestine has been ongoing since the 1948 Nakba, when the state was created as a colonial enterprise.
