Samir Sabry calls for bodies to be burnt after death sentences

June 2, 2015 at 9:39 am

Lawyer Samir Sabry called on the Egyptian coup-led government to make the death sentences harsher by burning the bodies after the sentences are executed.

Sabry explained that this will “burn their families and loved ones.”

In an interview on Sabah Al-Assema on Al-Assema television station, Sabry said: “I do not believe in so-called human rights organisations, especially those that are opposed to the death sentences and call for their postponement.”

“I don’t know how they can call for postponement. They must be prosecuted, as this is a crime. They are interfering in judicial affairs.”

Sabry also noted: “Human rights organisations only advocate for specific individuals; they speak out when a member of the Brotherhood is killed, but they do not speak out when a soldier or officer is killed.”
