Saudi Arabia calls to deter Israeli violations against Palestinians

June 2, 2015 at 1:52 pm

The Saudi ministerial council has renewed its calls for the international community to prevent “dangerous” Israeli violations in the Palestinian territories, as well as to stop the Judaisation of Jerusalem, Anadolu agency reported.

In a statement, the ministerial council also called for strategies to undermine Israeli attempts to partition Al-Aqsa Mosque and to stop the collective detention of Palestinian citizens in the Holy City.

The remarks came after a ministerial council meeting headed by Saudi King Salman Bin Abdul-Aziz.

The Saudi information and culture minister, Adel Al-Tarifi, told the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) that Israeli measures in Jerusalem and against the Palestinians “amount to human rights violations”.

He also added: “They are flagrant attempts carried out by the occupation authorities aiming at Judaising the City of Jerusalem throughout accelerating settlement and moving government offices to the city based on Plan 2020.”
