US Republican presidential candidate: West Bank is part of Israel

US Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee has said that it is the duty of the United States to give full support to Israel, describing it as “the country that most reflects the mirror imagine of the American spirit.”

CNN reported that during Huckabee’s visit in the Israeli West Bank settlement of Shiloh, Huckabee stressed that if one wishes to  visit Israel, one  should visit “all of Israel, and that would include Judea and Samarra,” using the term that the Israelis use in reference to the West Bank.

He told reporters that the aim of his visit is to discuss the recent agreement with Iran over the country’s nuclear programme, and the need to unite against such an agreement.

Huckabee recently sparked controversy after likening the recent agreement with the Holocaust, saying that the agreement poses a great threat to the future of Israel.
