Eight Houthis were killed and dozens more injured in coalition attacks on the Police College, Officers’ Club and the house of General Ali Mohsen Al-Ahmar, the Yemeni president’s adviser for defence and security, in the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, the Anadolu Agency reported yesterday.

Security sources and witnesses told the agency that coalition warplanes targeted the military camps of Nahdein, Al-Haffa, Attan and the Technical Institute of Air Force which are controlled by Houthi rebels as well as the homes of tribal and military leaders loyal to them in Al-Mathbah and Imran.

According to the same sources six civilians were also killed in an attack against a residential house in the Sofan neighbourhood.

Yemen’s news agency SABA said the coalition raids on Sanaa killed 15 civilians and injured 77 others.

Sources and witnesses also told the news agency that coalition air forces carried out more than 20 raids on Houhtis positions along the coastal road between the provinces of Hodeidah and Taiz yesterday.

The raids targeted reinforcement convoy bound for the province of Taiz as well as small ships carrying oil products in the Isteyad Port, Hodeidah province in west Yemen.

Local residents claimed that the coalition raids in Hodeidah led to civilian casualties.

The Houthi Al-Maseerah TV channel claimed the bombing killed 22 Indians who worked on fishing boats in the city.
