September 11, 2015 at 10:15 am

Daesh has put up two hostages, a Norwegian and a Chinese man, up for sale.

The militant group’s online magazine published several images of each of the men. In one of the pictures, the two hostages are seen dressed in yellow prison uniforms holding banners that say “Norwegian prisoner for sale” and “Chinese prisoner for sale”.

The advertisement included each hostage’s details and a telephone number for those wishing to buy them.

The advertisement warned that the offer is for a “limited period”.

The group did not disclose details of their kidnapping or the ransom demanded for their release.

Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg said at a press conference on Wednesday that no ransom would be paid to terrorists.

“The kidnappers have presented a series of demands and significant amounts of ransom money,” she said. “We cannot give in and won’t give into pressure from terrorists and criminals. Norway does not pay ransoms.”

Solberg added: “Everything indicates that [Daesh] is behind it.”

The Norwegian man has been identified as Ole Johan Grimsgaard-Ofstad, 48, from Oslo, and the Chinese man is said to be Fan Jinghui, 50, a freelance consultant from Beijing.
