‘Situation in Yemen will be resolved soon’

The situation in Yemen will be resolved soon and all measures have been taken to resolve the battle against Houthi rebels, the official spokesman for the Saudi-led coalition Brigadier General Ahmed Asiri said.

In remarks to the Saudi Al Ekhbariya news channel, Asiri said the rebels are spreading mines indiscriminately, stressing that coalition forces are targeting the rebels’ operations centres.

“Some resistance elements have carried out some operations in the liberated areas. The military effort will change according to circumstances on the ground,” he said adding that the Yemeni government will resume its work from Aden within six months.

Yemeni Prime Minister Khaled Bahah arrived last week in Aden with a government delegation to resume work in the southern city. Media reports claim President Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi will also return to Yemen soon.
