Erekat: ‘Obama is ignorant of the Palestinian cause’

Secretary of the Executive Committee of the PLO, Saeb Erekat, said he is disappointed at US President Barack Obama’s ignorance of the Palestinian cause following the latter’s speech before the General Assembly of the United Nations.

Speaking at a press conference Erekat asked: “Does President Obama believe he can defeat Daesh and terrorism, or achieve security and stability in the Middle East, by ignoring the continued Israeli occupation, settlement expansion and the continued attacks on Al-Aqsa Mosque?”, using another acronym for Daesh.

Yesterday, Obama delivered a speech regarding the fight against terrorism, defeating Daesh and international cooperation to this end before the General of the United Nations.
