Israel arrested 560 Palestinians since start of October

The Palestinian Prisoners Club reported that the Israeli forces arrested more than 560 Palestinians from West Bank, Jerusalem and Israeli cities since 1 October.

In a statement received by Quds Press yesterday, the group said that it is documenting all arrests, including those in which the arrested Palestinians were later released. It pointed out that nearly half of the prisoners are minors and children, and that the majority of the detainees were exposed to beatings and torture.

The statement pointed out that the majority of the arrests were concentrated in Hebron, where at least 120 minors were arrested, followed by Jerusalem where 100 citizens were arrested, and Ramallah and Al-Bireh provinces which witnessed more than 85 arrests of minors. Additionally, nearly 30 citizens were arrested in Nablus, 28 in Jericho, 27 in Bethlehem, 17 in Jenin, 17 in Tulkarem, 16 in Qalqilya, four in Salfit and six in Tubas.

The secretary of the Palestinian Al-Rabita movement said that the occupation forces arrested at least 110 Palestinians in Israeli cities.
