Abbasi Madani: Israeli actions threaten peace in region

October 23, 2015 at 12:02 pm

Leader of the Islamic Salvation Front in Algeria Sheikh Abassi Madani considered the ongoing Israeli violations against Al-Aqsa Mosque and the occupied city of Jerusalem as “provocative actions that threaten peace in the Middle Eastern region and in the entire world.”

In his exclusive statements to Quds Press yesterday, Sheikh Abassi held the international community completely responsible for addressing and deterring Israel’s aggression and its plans to “drag the entire region into a war and threatening the stability of the world.”

“There is no doubt that the Israeli occupation is striving to divide Al-Aqsa as a prelude to demolishing it. This is a blatant violation of international legitimacy and a direct violation of one of the most holy Muslim site, which is considered the first Muslim qibla. It is also a violation of international law that prohibits the attack of sanctities. This is the responsibility of the UN Security Council, EU, OIC and the other regional organisations and concerned institutions, as the Israeli government’s imposition of the status quo policy and its violation of all related international laws and conventions requires these institutions to take immediate action and prevent the world from becoming a jungle in which the strong can violate the weak,” he said.

Madani, who has been living in exile in Doha since 2003, warned against Israel and its allies’ attempts to take advantage of the Arab world’s preoccupation with its internal affairs in order to “single out the Palestinians and hasten its imposition of full control over Jerusalem and threaten to not only divide Al-Aqsa temporally and spatially, but also threaten to demolish it and liquidate the Palestinian cause.”
