The UAE has accused 13 Emirati citizens as well as a Syrian and a Bahraini on terrorism related charges.
The UAE State Security District accused the defendants of belonging to Daesh and travelling to Syria to join the militant group. One of the defendants are accused of communicating with the extremist group in Syria to facilitate their entry to the Syrian territories while one of them travelled to Turkey to join the group, the local Al-Bayan newspaper reported.
One defendant was also accused of assisting the other defendants.
They deny all charges against them.
The case was postponed until 23 November.
