Russia affirms it will continue to supply Turkey with natural gas

Russia’s Assistant Energy Minister Anatoly Yanovsky affirmed yesterday that his country will continue to supply Turkey with Russian natural gas in accordance with the previously signed agreement between the two parties.

Russian official news agency TASS quoted Yanovsky as affirming that Russia will continue to supply Turkey with Russian natural gas, and that the Russian side is not considering any other options.

Two F-16 aircrafts belonging to the Turkish Air Force shot down a Russian fighter jet yesterday when it entered Turkish air space. Turkey claims the act was in accordance with the rules of engagement, and that its air commanders had warned the Russians to retreat at least ten times within five minutes.
