Hamas celebrates 28 years since its formation

Tens of thousands of Palestinians in Gaza took part in marches to celebrate the 28 years since Hamas was founded.

During the march in northern Gaza, Deputy Chief of the Hamas Political Bureau Ismail Haniyeh said that after 28 years, Hamas is still a strong and growing movement that works towards liberating Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque.

“The Hamas supporters in northern Gaza are so many that they do not all fit in Al-Katiba Square, therefore we held various celebrations in various municipalities,” he said, adding: “You are the closest point in the Gaza Strip to the liberation of Palestine from the occupation.”
