December 14, 2015 at 11:52 am

Hundreds of Moroccans protested in Rabat yesterday demanding better human rights in the country, Turkey’s Anadolu Agency reported.

The protest, which was organised by human rights organisations, started from Mohammed V Boulevard in Rabat and reached parliament.

Participants carried slogans demanding to improve the country’s human rights record, put an end to the security services’ violations and uncover the fate of persons who disappeared.

They also called for the abolishment of the death penalty, for a national strategy to be put in place to curb impunity as well as safeguard the dignity of victims.
