Ya'alon: Insufficient evidence to prosecute settlers in Dawabsheh arson attack

Israeli Defence Minister Moshe Ya’alon said there is insufficient evidence to prosecute settlers suspected to have been responsible for the arson attack committed against the Dawabsheh family in the West Bank village of Duma, south of Nablus, in July.

Ya’alon told Israel’s Army Radio yesterday that the security services believe that they know the identity of the killers of the Dawabsheh family but there is not “enough evidence” to put them on trial.

A group of Jewish settlers burned the home of the Dawabsheh family on 31 July, killing a toddler and his parents and leaving his brother battling for his life in an Israeli hospital.
