Tunisia’s Ghannouchi calls to strengthen national unity, fulfil revolution goals

Head of Tunisia’s Ennahda party Sheikh Rashid Ghannouchi has called for the strengthening of national unity and the fulfilment of the goals of the revolution.

Ghannouchi praised in remarks on Wednesday the Tunisian General Labour Union’s role in the national movement to build an independent state and lead national dialogue.

Ghannouchi urged everyone to help speed up development, improve economic conditions for marginalized people and provide job opportunities for vulnerable social groups.

He made the remarks during the Tunisian General Labour Union’s 70th anniversary celebrations.

Hundreds of unemployed graduates have been protesting in the Tunisian city of Kasserine over the lack of job opportunities.
