Turkish Foreign Minister Mouloud Jawish Ihsanoglu yesterday held a trilateral meeting with his Saudi counterpart, Adel Al-Jubeir, and Qatari Foreign Minister, Sheikh Mohammad Bin Abdul Rahman Al-Thani in Munich, Germany.

The Saudi Press Agency said: “The tripartite meeting which took place on the sidelines of the Syria Support Group’s meetings in Munich has dealt with developments in the Syrian crisis as well as regional and international developments.”

Earlier in the day, US Secretary of State John Kerry held a trilateral meeting with his Saudi counterpart and the Syrian opposition’s Higher Negotiation Committee (HNC) delegation.

Munich is hosting talks for the International Syria Support Group which came after the suspension of the Geneva-3 talks brokered by the United Nations Secretary-General’s envoy, Staffan de Mistura, between the opposition and the Syrian regime. The talks are due to resume on 25 February.
